Dang gone technology!

So I spent a good 4 to 6 hours unwrapping this model... save... close Maya... the next day I open up the file expecting to start doing some touch ups and bring this stuff into zbrushy... and my Uv's are all over the place and on top of each other... I don't know what happened... Im just glad I didn't break my monitor like I wanted to.. whew!
